Pro Am Golf Day

Over 70 guests and jockeys gathered on a glorious sunny day at the beautiful Frilford Heath Golf Club on Tuesday 16 July 2024 to enjoy 5-star hospitality for the return of our annual PJA/Racing TV Pro Am Golf Tournament. 

Amongst the jockeys taking part were David Probert, Jack Hogan, Liam Harrison and Sean Houlihan, alongside some past members of the weighing room including William Kennedy and Carl Llewellyn. Fundraising also took place on the day to raise money for both the Injured Jockeys Fund Graham Lee fund and collection for John Hunt. 

The team from insurance brokers Howden Group, led by jockey Brendan Powell, emerged as the winners, narrowly beating the ‘Racing TV 5’ team into runner-up position whilst the ‘Jockey Club Catering’ team finished in third place.

Gemma Waterhouse and Jodie Mogford from the ‘Jockey Club Catering’ team won the top individual and top jockey prizes respectively. Michael Newton from the “Towergate Insurance Brokers” team produced the ‘nearest the pin’ shot whilst jockey Bryan Carver took the prize for the ‘Longest Drive’ of the day
