Pro Am Golf Day

We have sadly made the decision to cancel the PJA/Racing TV Pro Am 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Further updates on the 2021 event will be posted on this page in due course.

The PJA/Racing TV Pro Am Golf Tournament is an annual event held in July and is kindly sponsored by Racing TV.

Over 70 guests took part in the 2019 day at Frilford Heath Golf Club. Among the Jockeys past and present who took part were AP McCoy, John Francome, Mick Fitzgerald, Carl Llewellyn, Sam Thomas, Dave Allan and Will Kennedy to name just a few. A number of fundraising activities were also held on
the day to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund.

The ‘Racing TV 8′ team composed of James Willoughby, Andrew Graham, Joshua Sparke and captained by Sam Thomas emerged as the winners. Runner-up was the Racing Post team led by Jodie Mogford with the ‘PJA 2′ team coming in for third place. Matt Frith claimed both the top individual and longest drive prizes, whilst AP McCoy claimed the top Jockey prize and Richie McLernon scored the Nearest the Pin shot.

Paul Struthers, Chief Executive of the PJA, said: “I am thrilled that so many people – jockeys and guests – supported the golf day on this new date and the PJA is very grateful for the ongoing and generous support of our valued sponsor Racing TV.”

Details of future events will be posted here in due course. To be added to our mailing list, please email id@thepja.co.uk .
