Jockeys Association Trust

The Injured Jockeys fund is always the first port of call for jockeys and former jockeys who are struggling as a result of injury, but the Jockeys Association Trust is a small charity that provides modest grants to jockeys to alleviate short-term hardship and prevent and relieve poverty, whether a jockey is/has been injured or not.

The Trust currently has three Trustees:

  • Rory Mac Neice – Senior Partner at Ashford’s LLP and a former conditional jockey
  • Tom Scudamore – former top jump jockey turned broadcaster
  • Dale Gibson – Executive Director (Racing) of the PJA, and a former flat jockey

Most grants issued by the Trust range from a few hundred pounds to several thousand, depending on the need.  Applications are assessed by the three trustees.

If you would like to discuss the Trust or make an application, please speak to a member of the PJA team, who can talk you through the process and send you a copy of the application form.
