A P McCoy MBE (Jump President)
Tony McCoy, or AP as he is more familiarly known, is widely regarded as one of the greatest jump jockeys to date. In 2002 he exceeded Sir Gordon Richard’s record for winners in a season for all types of racing, when riding 289 winners. During his career Tony has ridden over a staggering 2,500 horses into the winner’s enclosure and has been the current Champion Jump Jockey since the 1995/1996 jumps season.
Steve Drowne (Flat President)
Steve is a leading flat jockey and during his career he has ridden 938 winners (Feb 08). He partnered sprinting star
Sakhee’s Secret in all of his four victories during 2007 including the Group 1 Darley July Cup. Prolific victories included on his CV are The totesport Cambridgeshire Handicap, where he rode
Blue Monday as well as
Avonbridge to win the Group 1 Prix de L’Abbaye at Longchamp in France. Steve is a respected and popular member amongst his colleagues in the weighing room and a valuable member of The PJA Board and we welcome him as The PJA Flat President.
Dale Gibson

Dale has been riding for 22 seasons and has totalled over 500 domestic winners. He is a big Arsenal fan and plays Golf, Cricket, Tennis and Football in his spare time. Dale's skills extend onto the footy pitch and to table tennis as well; In 2006 and 2007 he organised and played (for the victorious North) in the televised North v South Flat Jockey's Football Games in aid of The IJF and aged 11 and 12 years he was the dual Suffolk Table Tennis Champion!
Andrew Thornton
Jump Jockey
Andrew has been licensed for 15 seasons now and has his name firmly set amongst the top Jump Jockeys of this country. With wins including the Gold Cup in 1998 on Cool Dawn, Andrew has amassed an impressive 803 wins to date with one of his latest success being aboard Miko de Beauchene in the 2007 Welsh National at Chepstow, for which he received a Lesters award for Jump Ride of the Year 2007.
Graham Lee
Jump Jockey
Based in the North of England, Graham has amassed over 760 wins over the last 14 seasons. His career highlights so far include winning the Grand National on the Donald McCain trained Amberleigh House in 2004 and partnering Inglis Drever to victory in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2005.
Martin Dwyer
Flat Jockey
Martin is one of the UK's leading Flat Jockeys with 841 wins to his name to date. Highly respected for his riding skills, Martin is second Jockey to Sheikh Mohammed and his career highlights so far include winning The Derby on Sir Percy in 2006 and the Darley Oaks at York in 2007 aboard Peeping Fawn.
