Over 70 guests and jockeys gathered at the beautiful Frilford Heath Golf Club on Tuesday 18th September for the annual PJA/Racing UK Pro Am Golf Tournament.
Among the jockeys past and present who took part were Kieren Fallon, Richard Hughes, Mick Fitzgerald, Carl Llewellyn and Will Kennedy to name just a few. A number of fundraising activities were also held on the day to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund.
The ‘Racing UK 2′ team composed of Carl Llewellyn, Nick Mills, Marvin Sanderson and Paul Witten emerged as the winners, with Carl taking the top Jockey prize.
Runner-up was the All Sport Insurance team comprising of Kevin Davies, John Shepherd, jockey Richie McLernon and individual winner James Shipton, with Newbury Racecourse taking third place.
Richard Brooks from team Royds Withy King produced the ‘Nearest the Pin’ shot and Matt Frith from team PJA 2 took the prize for the ‘Longest Drive’ of the day.
