Among the jockeys past and present who took part were Aidan Coleman, Mick Fitzgerald, Daryl Jacob, Gavin Sheehan, Carl Llewellyn and George Baker to name just a few. A number of fundraising activities were also held on the day to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund.
The ‘All Sport Insurance’ team composed of Richie McLernon, Phil Olding, Martin Gaunt and Chris Larkby emerged as the winners. Richie also took home the leading Jockey prize whilst Daryl Jacob was runner-up.
Runner-up in the team competition was the PJA 1 team led by George Baker and team Racing UK 3 comprising of Dominic Elsworth, Nick Mills, Josh Apiafi and Mike Thomas third place.
Craig Thake from the Racing Post won the top individual prize and Julian Thick from Newbury Racecourse took second place. Sam Thomas took the prize for the ‘Longest Drive’ shot of the day whilst Jack Sherwood produced the ‘nearest the pin’ shot in his first year competing in the event.
