Team Leader


Julia, a freelance nutritionist and accredited sports Dietitian has been team leader for the past 5 years. She has been the tutor in nutrition at the BRS for 10 years and last year became Dietitian for the equestrian World Class Programme covering all disciplines. Julia is based in East Anglia.

Rhiannon Britton Rhiannon Britton

Rhiannon has worked in the NHS as a clinical dietitian for the past 5 years covering various aspects of nutritional care including weight management. She is also a qualified sports nutritionist and has worked with several athletic groups including jockeys. Rhiannon has ridden competitively in several equestrian disciplines including eventing and endurance riding. She enjoys the sport of racing and previously worked at a local racing yard while completing her studies.

James Collins James Collins

James is a Senior Sports & Exercise Nutritionist working with elite and professional sports. Within professional football, as Head Nutritionist for Arsenal Football Club, overseeing nutrition service & strategy for domestic and European competition. In Olympic sports as Head Nutritionist for British Judo in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games, specialising in individualised weight making & performance strategies.

Gill Horgan Gill Horgan

Gill is a sports dietitian/nutritionist and is a nutrition lecturer at a London University, where she is the Sports Nutrition lead for their Sports Performance Centres. Gill has worked with many Olympic and non Olympic sports including Team GB at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Gill is based in London and the South East. Gill attends meetings and works as a consultant to the PJA Nutrition Team
Rick Miller Rick Miller

Rick will be taking on the role of nutrition lecturer at the Northern Racing College as well as the clinical role. He is based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary as a National Health Service Dietitian and lectures in both Clinical and Sport Nutrition. Rick has 10 years’ experience in British Karate, understanding first-hand the nutritional and clinical concerns that weight category athletes often face. Working with athletes who compete in aesthetic and weight category sports; including combat sports, dance disciplines, gymnastics and sports figure.
